Educational purpose
The content on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It describes how retirement-plan rules generally work; it does not describe how they apply to your situation. Rules change, and details matter.
No investment, legal or tax advice
We provide retirement-plan documents, implementation assistance, education and ongoing administrative support. We do not provide investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing on this site should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset or to adopt any particular structure. Consult your independent attorney, CPA or tax adviser before acting.
Our role and what we are not
Survival 401K, LLC is not a bank, custodian, trust company, registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, law firm, CPA firm, lender or fiduciary. We do not hold, control or have access to plan assets, and we do not exercise discretion over any account.
No fiduciary relationship
Engaging us for plan documents and administrative support does not create a fiduciary relationship. The plan sponsor and plan trustee retain responsibility for plan decisions, contributions, investments, recordkeeping and required filings.
No custody of assets
Plan assets are held at banks, custodians or other institutions selected by the plan trustee. We never take possession of client funds or securities.
No endorsement or due-diligence guarantee
References to third-party providers, platforms, sponsors or investments are not endorsements. We do not perform, and do not guarantee, due diligence on any investment, sponsor or provider. Evaluating an opportunity is the responsibility of the plan trustee and their own advisers.
Investment risk
All investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Alternative assets may be illiquid, difficult to value and subject to additional risks. Past performance does not indicate future results, and we make no representation about the performance of any asset or strategy.
Prohibited transactions
Retirement plans are subject to rules restricting transactions between the plan and disqualified persons, including the plan participant, certain family members and entities they control. A prohibited transaction can result in taxes, penalties and plan disqualification. Review any proposed transaction with qualified counsel before it takes place.
Contribution limits depend on individual facts
Contribution figures shown on this site are IRS maximums for the year indicated. The amount you may actually contribute depends on your age, entity type, compensation, plan terms and other plan participation. Eligibility for a one-participant plan is subject to review, including employee, controlled-group and affiliated-service-group facts.
Third-party and referral relationships
Legal, tax, banking, custody and lending services are provided by independent third parties. We may receive referral compensation when a client engages certain providers. Where a self-directed IRA path is discussed, qualified prospects may be referred to an independent third-party IRA provider, which is a separate organization from Survival 401K, and we may receive referral compensation. A referral is not an endorsement or a suitability determination.
Screening tools
Any quiz, calculator or screening tool on this site is educational. Results are not an eligibility determination, an offer of service or a projection of any outcome.
No guaranteed outcomes
We do not guarantee tax treatment, filing acceptance, asset protection, investment results or any other outcome. Timelines described on this site are typical expectations, not commitments, and depend on third parties.
